After nearly a month of heavy anticipation, Drake has dropped his latest short film Please Forgive Me. Drake first announced the project late last month, leaving his many fans trying to figure out the story from the different screen grabs he’d post to his Instagram account. It’s directed by Anthony Mandler who has worked with everyone from Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and a few times in the past with Drake earlier in his career for the music videos to “Fancy,” “Find Your Love,” and “Over.”

Just as he did with his Jungle short film, which was released in conjunction with his album mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late, Drizzy's newest visual project weaves together many of the music and motifs off his latest album Views. Drake was rumored to have shot videos for "One Dance" and "Child's Play" in South Africa and Houston respectively earlier this year. The footage for the "One Dance" video did make it into the Please Forgive Me final cut.

The short film plays out with a number of dramatic and eloquent scenes, with Drake traveling from the desert while "One Dance" and "Controlla" play to an eventual gun fight that ends in a massive car chase with plenty of explosions. As teased on Instagram, Popcaan makes a cameo appearance throughout the film. In essence, the short film serves as videos for both "One Dance" and "Controlla," while also giving off some serious Indecent Proposal vibes, as a number of people on Twitter pointed out.
