Three moms, three different lives, one remarkably universal experience.
Filmmaker Matt Bieler found himself in awe of his sister, who was raising three young kids. (She is one of the three anonymous women in this film -- unnamed because he hopes they stand for every woman.) "It made me think back to what a superstar my own mother was raising myself and my two sisters as a young mom and the selflessness that entails," he told HuffPost Parents over e-mail.
And so, "Three Queens," his portrait of "heroic unselfish love" was born.
The best way to thank stay-at-home parents around the world -- and especially his own mom -- was to tell their stories, Bieler said, through the eyes and voices of children. Because nobody knows better than them how much Mommy does in a single day.
