These Trans People Explain Why Anti-Trans 'Bathroom Bills' Are Bulls**t

"I'm just trying to pee, ya'll."

As conservatives and rightwing religious leaders attempt to justify so-called "bathroom bills" that discriminate against transgender people and argue they're protecting women and children, a group of trans people want you to know how they're vulnerable to these bills.

In the video above, watch trans people explain how "bathroom bills," like the infamous one set forth in North Carolina earlier this year which denies them the ability to use the restroom that corresponds with their gender identity, put them at risk of violence and harassment.

"Think of how many times a day you've gotta go,"one speaker says. "Now imagine fearing for your safety each time."
