Talk about low visibility!

A sandstorm caused near blackout conditions across Jordan on Sunday morning.

At the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, flights were grounded or diverted in its wake. A video posted to Facebook by Amen 89.5, the radio arm of Jordan's Public Security Directorate, captured what is reported to be footage of the sandstorm as it approached the airport, eventually engulfing planes and an entire hanger in about a minute.

Even though the storm looked fierce, the airport's corporate communications director, Zahiah Naasan, told The Jordan Times that the delay did not last longer than 20 minutes.

Staff at Amen 89.5 didn't immediately return a request for more information.
