When was the last time you saw the inside of a gym? I know for me it's been a while. I mean there's just so much TV to watch and then Batman v. Superman came out and even though everyone says it's bad, I just had to spend seven and a half hours (I'm pretty sure that's right) sitting through it instead of working out. (Everyone was right. It's terrible.) Then there's the election. I mean who has time to work out, when you could be arguing with a Trump supporter with a Nazi avatar on Twitter? There's a lot of stuff to do. And that's why I'm not in better shape. But you know who thinks my excuses (and probably yours too) are all bullshit? This 78-year-old woman who just set a deadlifting record. This is Shirley Webb. She's 78, and she is a badass.

Shirley already owns the Illinois and Missouri records for deadlifting in her age bracket (237 lbs and 215 lbs respectively), but she's not done. According to ESPNW her next goal is to set a national record, which shouldn't be to hard as there currently isn't even a national record for women her age. So next time temptation tells you to sit on your ass, remember Shirley and go to the gym. Or stay home and watch TV. There are so many episodes of The Americans to watch.
