Wave Crashes Through Restaurant Windows In Santa Barbara (VIDEO)

WATCH: Wave Smashes Through Restaurant Windows

Diners at a California restaurant had an uninvited guest for breakfast on Saturday when the ocean itself smashed through the windows and came inside.

Videos posted online show diners fleeing amid the shattered glass and water at the Moby Dick Restaurant on Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara.

"The dining room was filled with the sound of glass shattering and people screaming as a wave of water rushed over the dining room carpet," one of the witnesses who posted video, Forrest Buchanan, told the Santa Barbara Independent. "Everyone froze, including the staff. So, I rushed over to make sure there were not any major injuries."

Buchanan says he helped to evacuate the room and then asked the manager, "Do you mind I don't pay for my breakfast and move on?"

There were no reports of serious injuries.

"Here at Moby Dick there is always something exciting going on – big waves, surfers, sailboat races, visiting whales, and dolphins," the restaurant's website says, which is clearly not an empty promise.

Moby Dick wasn't the only restaurant hit by the waves. In the nearby town of Goleta, the roaring surf nearly pulled some cafe workers into the ocean.

"One of the fellas was taken down the walkway in front of the windows and he went through the door of the patio that had just been washed out by that same wave," Beachside Bar-Cafe owner David Hard told KTVU. "Then our manager Simon was actually washed out by a wave and then went under the pier and was stuck under the pier."

KTVU reports that the manager made it back safely, but broke her collarbone.
