Wedding Trends: Summer 2012 Wedding Trends That Won't Break The Bank

WATCH: Summer Wedding Trends That Won't Break The Bank

Trendy weddings are expensive, right?

They don't have to be, according to BrideRush.com's Anita Malik, who believes that even the most budget-conscious bride can have a stylish, trendy wedding. Malik recently stopped by Arizona's ABC15 to share some ways to keep up with the latest summer wedding trends without having to spend a fortune.

Since one of the most popular trends this season is color, event planners and brides everywhere are incorporating pops of bright, fun hues into the ceremony and reception.

Many brides choose to highlight the trend in floral arrangements, but that can get pricey. One inexpensive way to bring color into your ceremony is by adding bright drinks, straws and glasses to your wedding -- all very affordable.

"We love [bright colors] because for a wedding, everybody's all buttoned up and formal," said Malik. "They remind me of the pool and of summer."

Couples can also incorporate the "summer" feel in their decor by adding potted plans, herbs and little cactus favors, said Malik.
