He’s back!

And finally, this time, his wife is throwing him out.

(Thank you, Jesus!)

Once again - everyone’s talking about Anthony Weiner.

He’s the guy married to Hillary’s closest confidant and campaign genius - the guy who (in 2011) flashed pictures of his Weiner all over social media - the guy who did it again (in 2012).

And now - he’s doing it again.

Why? Why does he do it?

Is he crazy for negative attention? He certainly doesn’t do it to advance his political ambitions.

Check it out. His bad behavior is exposed during critical moments in his career-building.

Last month Weiner appeared on both The Daily Show with Bill Maher and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, sharing his perspectives on the political campaigns of Clinton and Trump.

At the time, those of us with half-brains for public decorum were stunned by this reemergence.

Sure as shootin’, within days, our boy was up to his old penis-provoking tricks.

How Mr. Weiner conducts his personal affairs is one thing. Imposing the nation to indecent exposure is quite another.

Mr. Colbert and Mr. Maher know better. It hurts to watch them dabble with a sad, sick man like Mr. Weiner.

I know why they did it, however. I know why they invited Weiner on their programs.

Our late night comics understand us better than we understand ourselves.

They know we struggle with an lack of white-male moral leadership.

That being the case, send in the clowns. Laugh at our Trump. Giggle over our Weiner.

Make no mistake - his is not a victimless crime.
Make no mistake - his is not a victimless crime.

Something about this is tragic and dark.

Mr. Trump is dancing in the dark and threatening our national unity. Making fun of his racism and virulent misogyny is a bit like giggling over ashes at Auschwitz.

And Anthony Weiner is a sad, sick man - all on his own.

He does not need a spot on the late-night talk-show circuit. He doesn’t need to be laughed at. He needs professional help.

Those who study and treat sexual deviancy report how difficult it is to correct a disfunction integral to personality, power and self esteem. In fact, many sexual offenders are considered ‘incurable.’

A man like Anthony Weiner might easily be the brunt of comedic jest - but sexual aggression is never funny - and always traumatizing.

The careless disregard Mr. Weiner assigns to self-humiliation is a cry for help, and a red-flag to all who come near him.

How has this man, who schmoozes with the rich an powerful - managed to evade “treatment?”

One explanation - Senators, Secretaries, Congress people are busy ruling the world. Few of them take time to look into the soul of a man who can’t keep his zipper closed.

And late-night comedians make it easier for all of us to laugh and look the other way. We should not, however - because his sexual dysfunction is critical and dangerous - his sad, exploitation of women tragic.

Make no mistake - his is not a victim-less crime.

His incessant deviant behavior creates a wake of confusion, distress, embarrassment.

Nothing to laugh at.

Exposing one’s genitalia to others while appearing on national television to self-promote - - - these two things signal serious, dangerous pathologies.

I doubt, even now, after losing his marriage and reputation, Mr. Weiner has the will or capacity to seek help.

One good thing that might come out of this - perhaps the late-night circuit will wake up and recognize a disturbed, dangerous man when they see one.

Until Mr. Weiner learns to stop exposing himself, until Mr. Trump stops attacking our way of life - - until these things happen, perhaps our late night comics could stop advancing their indecent exposure.

Literally.
