Anthony Weiner Should Apologize To Latinos For 'Carlos Danger' Moniker, Says Rival (VIDEO)

WATCH: Rival Thinks 'Carlos Danger' Should Apologize

Not everyone thinks “Carlos Danger” is funny (or just plain ridiculous).

Rev. Erick Salgado, Anthony Weiner’s rival in the New York mayoral race, believes the former congressman should apologize to the Latino community for using a Hispanic name to hide his “bad behavior.”

“For Anthony Weiner to hide under a Spanish name to do his bad behavior is very insulting to the Spanish community,” said Salgado in a video recorded by Shimon Gifter on Wednesday, according to Politicker.

The pseudonym, used by New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner to engage in explicit sex chats online, has been making its rounds on the World Wide Web. From Slate’s “The Carlos Danger Name Generator” to the Washington Post’s list of the best "Carlos Danger" tweets, there has been no shortage of coverage of the event.

Salgado, of Puerto Rican descent, is a long shot to win mayor of New York. Yet he wanted people to know that there is an actual Hispanic running for mayor, after some claimed that the race lacked a Latino presence.
