'Weird Science' Remake Planned With R-Rated Script From '21 Jump Street' Writer

REMAKE

What would you little maniacs like to do first? Well, here's hoping the answer is remake "Weird Science." Deadline.com reports that Universal is planning a new take on John Hughes' 1985 teen-boy fantasy, with "21 Jump Street" and "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" screenwriter Michael Bacall handling the script. Per Deadline.com, the new film will be rated-R; Hughes' take was PG-13.

Details on the proposed remake are non-existent at this point, but writer Brian Lynch floated one brilliant idea:

The original film, of course, focused on two horny teens (Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith) who used their nerdy science brains to create a perfect woman, complete with "womdigous mammary glands." Kelly LeBrock played the result of the boys' science project.
