Wendy Albano, American Businesswoman, Murdered In Thailand; Cops Seek Indian Boyfriend

Florida Woman Murdered In Thailand; Boyfriend Eyed By Cops

Police are looking for an Indian man who may have stabbed and strangled an American businesswoman to death in Bangkok, Thailand.

The body of Wendy Albano, 51, was found on the bathroom floor of her room at the Fraser Suites Hotel in Bangkok on Monday -- and cops are looking for an Indian man, reported to be her boyfriend, who was captured on a surveillance video, seen leaving her suite, according to ABC News.

Albano, of Florida, met the man during a previous business trip to India, where she tried to launch a fashion design business. They reportedly traveled to India together and then to Bangkok, where surveillance footage showed them entering the hotel room and the man leaving an hour later with luggage, according to The Miami Herald.

Her friend, Maxine Stull, asked Albano if she was scared of being in India "alone, so far from home." Albano said no.

Now friends and family -- including two daughters -- are looking for answers to her unsolved murder.

"She has such a fantastic soul that was always so loving," friend Denise Brown told Fox 13. "I'm devastated. It's a loss that I won't be able to really comprehend for some time because it was unnecessary."
