You know society's in trouble when a man beating his girlfriend isn't enough to make news. No, it's only when such domestic violence is accompanied by an only-in-South-Florida bizarre twist.
On Monday, West Palm Beach Police arrested Christopher Maurice Raphael after his girlfriend accused him of beating and throwing feces at her.
According to Palm Beach Post, the incident happened mid-morning on Monday. The probable cause affidavit states that Raphael hit the 19-year-old victim with his hands and with a bed board, the paper reports. He also broke windows in her car and home.
While the victim was giving her statement to investigators, the Post reports, Raphael said, "You rapping too much to the police." The affidavit also cites the woman saying, "He cannot get away with this again."
Raphael, 24, is charged with aggravated battery, battery, and criminal mischief. He's being held in the Palm Beach County Jail with a $26,000 bond. Raphael was also arrested back in August on battery charges.
And if Raphael has a thing for fighting with feces, he's in the right state. Last year, a Florida high school teacher received a hate letter smeared with human waste. Also last year, two teenagers snuck into a Florida hotel and flung feces all over the pool, painting a giant x on the side.
