West Town Loft Features Shoji Screens, Spa-Like Bathrooms And More (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: West Town Loft Mixes Modern With Old-World Style

Looking for a place to live in West Town that has has as much of a stylistic mash-up as a Girl Talk track?

The recently-listed unit at 1728 N. Damen Ave. could be just what you're looking for. The bones of the $539,000 property alone are an easy sell: floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, custom cabinetry and high-end extras like a steam shower and wood-burning fireplace.

But the property's design is what takes it over the top. Baird and Warner listing agent Connie Grunwaldt told The Huffington Post that the current owner oversaw the stylized updates, which include custom-made Shoji screens, a walk-in cedar closet, granite countertops and a custom-built office.

"To me this home posesses a level of urban sophistication that can be hard to find, and it is so visually engaging, with 16-foot ceilings, exposed brick and massive amounts of sunlight," Grunwaldt said. "it feels like something you would see in the Meatpacking District or Soho [in New York]."
