What do you think of when you imagine what a librarian looks like?

Let's hazard a guess -- older female wearing a frumpy dress, glasses, a stern look, and her white hair up in a bun?

While there may be some librarians who reflect that image, there are many more at the Los Angeles Public Library who fight that stereotype every day, while making sure the library is open and welcoming to all patrons, regardless of personal style.

With a shout-out to the website LibrarianWardrobe.com, whose members spearheaded a fashion walk-off at the last American Library Association Annual Conference, and in celebration of the 10th anniversary season of Project Runway, here is a small portion of the Los Angeles Public Library's most valuable resource -- our (chic) staff!
