Audiences are still asking questions about "Prometheus," which probably says everything you need to know about Ridley Scott's confounding, fascinating and frustrating return to science fiction. Now, at least one of those queries has an answer: Just what did David say to the Engineer in "Prometheus"?
In the scene, David (Michael Fassbender) awakens an Engineer from stasis at the behest of Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce). He then asks the Engineer a question, which prompts the muscular alien to -- SPOILER -- tear David's head off and go on a killing spree. Oops.
Stu Holmes at The Bioscopist tracked down Dr. Anil Biltoo -- the London-based linguistics expert who taught actor Michael Fassbender the Proto-Indo-European language that David speaks in the film -- who revealed that the happy android said the following during his big moment with the Engineer:
"This man is here because he does not want to die. He believes you can give him more life."
And now you know.
