I want to tell you that no matter who you are, what you weigh, what you look like, or how popular or unpopular you are, you can be a target for bullying.

I want to tell you that someone who used to be your friend can turn into your enemy.

I want to tell you that you can learn not to trust anyone.

I want to tell you that you can be so scared of being bullied at school that you can get sick every single day.

I want to tell you that when you go to teachers for help, and they tell you they can't help you unless they see it, that you become defeated.

I want to tell you that depression and cutting are real effects of bullying.

I want to tell you that school can become your own personal hell.

I want to tell you the internet can become your own personal hell, too.

I want to tell you that you can feel completely alone in the world, even when you are surrounded by people.

I want to tell you that all those words that people throw at your eventually work their way into your brain and you begin to believe them.

I want to tell you that you can honestly believe that ending your life is the only way to escape the bullying.

But, I also want to tell you a few other things about bullying.

I want to tell you that when you hit the lowest point you can go, there can be people to help you up. I want you to know you do not have to believe those voices in your head, and you can change what they say. I want you to know that you CAN and WILL get through bullying. Because you are a wonderful person who is worthy of love, acceptance and happiness, and it will come. I want you to know it won't be forever.

I want to tell you to #BeBrave. You can get through bullying. I want you to know that you can learn to be brave and stand up to the bullies - and stand up for yourself. I want to tell you that I, and many other people will help you. You will get through bullying.

I wrote this post in response to my Mom's post about How It Feels To Be The Mom of Bullied Kids. It was powerful. Bullying effects the whole family, not just the ones being bullied. This post was originally posted on my blog, Losergurl.
