What If The Eggplant Emoji Was A Gay Horror Movie?

"An entire language has developed from emojis -- and certainly not one that we always understand."

One of the most interesting things about living in the digital age is that way that technology has transformed how we communicate -- including the way that we sext.

Emojis have changed the game when it comes to talking to friends, family members and loved ones. The eggplant emoji, for example, is often used as a stand-in for the lack of an official penis emoji -- especially among gay men when they send sexually explicit texts to each other.

In this latest video from Davey Wavey, the gay YouTuber teams up with fellow YouTuber Machaizelli to present "The Eggplant Emoji YouTube Trailer," a spoof on classic horror movie trailers, centered around miscommunication regarding the eggplant emoji and what it really represents.

"An entire language has developed from emojis -- and certainly not one that we always understand," Wavey told The Huffington Post. "When I first heard about 'eggplant Friday,' I assumed it was about recipes for good Italian food. It wasn't... though my mouth still watered. If a picture is worth a thousand words, the eggplant emoji is worth at least one: hung. As such, you'll see it all over Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, gracing the comments of big bulges everywhere."

Machaizelli is the latest recipient of Davey's "Rising Rainbows Scholarship Program," an initiative that, in the words of Wavey, "provides funding and promotion for up-and-coming YouTubers from underrepresented communities."
