Men and women with natural hair hear some pretty offensive comments sometimes. These remarks can be unwarranted and often come in the form of microaggressions.
That's why Pedro Fequiere, junior staff writer at Buzzfeed, decided to illustrate the problem with the comments he received about his hair growing up and what these comments really mean to people of color in "What People With Natural Hair Actually Hear."
"I hope it let's them know that there are other people that go through and/or have gone through the same experiences," Fequiere told The Huffington Post. "I also hope it's informative and somewhat educational to the people that say these things, and hopefully gives them a little more insight on what it really means when they make these comments, and what it says about them."
