What The Festival 2016 is here, running June 17th-20th at Wolf Run Ranch in Oregon. Last year the festival sold out. It got to the point that even Leigh Feldman was getting you past the gate.

Flashback to 2015...

"What's that? You say you bought these tickets off Craigslist? Apparently some other folks did too, and they got here before you did... Sorry, the festival is completely sold out."

What The Festival 2015 was absolutely incredible. And if you ask me, this year's lineup is somehow even better. And the best part, as of right now, you can still get tickets!? You won't be able to get a car camping spot, but the forest is not to be missed. Check the entire lineup at whatthefestival.com.

You should not wait. Traditionally, I am happy to buy tickets online from someone who can't go at the last minute to a sold out event, but this is a really bad idea for WTF 16. If you have been on the fence about going, now is the time to get your ticket.

If you blew it. If it has already sold out by the time you get online to buy your tickets... Buy a ticket from a trusted friend. Or...

Road trip to Northern Nights Musical Festival in July at Cooks Valley Campground on the Mendocino / Humboldt County Line, CA.

Set amidst the towering California Redwoods on the banks of the Eel River sits Northern Nights Music Festival, slated this summer for the weekend of July 15-17, 2016. Labeled as, “Not Your Cookie Cutter Festival,” the 4year team behind NNMF has again curated a trendsetting lineup of international, national and local musical talent.

Kicking off the weekend will be a headlining performance by Gorgon City, the UK based live dance act that has spent the last two years touring almost every corner of the world. Friday night will also feature an unforeseen appearance by Amon Tobin, presenting his thought provoking Two Fingers project. The saxophone funk god Griz will be making his very anticipated trip back to the Emerald Triangle on Saturday night, alongside The Knocks, fresh off the release of their chart topping album “55”. The weekend will close out with Claptone’s elusive ‘Immortal Live’ set, accompanied by one of the most sought after trap producers in the industry, Troyboi, as well as the Bay Area’s voice of the people, Boots Riley, leading the legendary hiphop-infused funk band, The Coup.

Northern Nights’ signature showcase of noteworthy and rising stars will include SNBRN, Machinedrum, XYLØ, Stephen, NoMBe, Prince Fox, MoonzZ, Slumberjack, Daktyl, D∆WN, and Teklife, as well as West Coast festival staples Sugarbeats, Govinda & Lafa Taylor. A special treat awaits those lucky enough to stumble into the festival’s eclectic Grove Stage, which will feature Humboldt’s own Object Heavy, electro-rock bandBeautiful Machines and the soulful return of Horses Heaven. Staying true to its tropical bass roots, NNMF plans to breathe fuego onto the dance floor with the additions of Deejay Theory, Yungg Trip, Subsuelo and Pressure Anya. All 4 amplified stages will once again feature state of the art VOID Acoustics sound complimented by Hush Concerts’ most talked about all night Silent Disco.

For those who have been before, it is well known that music is only the beginning of the NNMF experience: from floating lazily along the South Fork Eel River and engaging in jaw-dropping art activations, to mindfulyoga in the redwoods and rejuvenating hot cedar showers, this festival offers a plethora of adventures and creature comforts to fit any of your “in the moment” needs.

If NNMF 2015 was any sign of what’s to come, rest assured that the team is expecting a sold out event in 2016. Three-day tickets are now on sale, with a limited number available at $259 for General Admission and $349 for VIP. Riverfront camping is free with any ticket purchase. Upgrades, including RV, car camping, and reserved Grove camping are available for purchase in advance. Not a camper? NNMF has partnered with Unity Travel to offer near-by hotel options with door-to-door shuttle service.
