Why do we like our high heels shoes?
From the sidewalks to the catwalks high heeled shoes are always being worn. They've become an indispensable factor of our daily lives.
High heeled shoes are shoes when a woman wears that elevate the feet significantly. When high heels are being worn they give an illusion of longer and more sexier legs. That's one of the most important reasons why women like wearing their high heel shoes.
Some well recognized fashion shoe websites; for example, Gucci, state that "low heel" is considered to measure less than 2.5 inches (6.4 centimeters), while heels between 2.5 and 3.5 inches (6.4 and 8.9 cm) are considered "mid heels", and anything over that is considered a "high heel".
Psychologists gave some information about high heels
Paul Morris, Kayleigh Fisher, Edward Morrison, and Jenny White are some psychologists who’ve got together to study why women wear high heel shoes. They’re all from the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom.
They concluded that women and men walk differently. High heel shoes make women walk more like women, with more feminine aspects in their gait.
“Male gait involves greater velocity, longer stride length and slower rate. There are also differences in side swing. Men present more movement of the head and greater upper body side sway, whereas women display increased hip movement.”
Being able to look more womanly has made high heel shoes the most worn type of shoes worldwide. Some people say that there are more women than there are men in most part of the world, so being able to put yourself out there to be seen will always be a great idea.
I think the way we walk can make a big difference in the way we look. Nice long legs and nice hip movements are things that most men adore. High heel shoes are able to help us incorporate these features in ourselves which make us very grateful towards our designers.
Since having longer and slender legs is liked by so many people, especially the men; in essence wearing high heel shoes is somewhat flirtatious if you want to put it this way.
