When Is it OK to Tell a Lie? We Asked the Stars at the 'Clever Little Lies' Opening

In the funny and thoughtful new Off-Broadway comedy, Clever Little Lies, Marlo Thomas and Greg Mullavey, play a long married husband and wife devoted to help preserve their son and daughter-in-law's marriage. "The play is about the lengths a mother will go to protect her child," says playwright Joe DiPietro.

During a series of surprising twists and turns, everyone in the play has a lie that they wish to hide -- or so it seems. So at the play's recent premiere Parade asked the question, is it ever OK to tell a lie? "My husband doesn't lie at all," revealed Ali Wentworth about George Stephanopoulos. "I'll say, 'wow, I've gotten fat.' He'll say, 'yes, you have.' But I appreciate that."
