Saving Money on Flights

The best Black Friday travel deals might be for flights because there are so many possibilities.

Although some airlines will be more flexible than others, bear this tips in mind to find the best deals:

  • Lowest prices might be for unpopular travel days like Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday
  • May have to fly in an off-peak month
  • Can only fly out of select cities

This isn't always the case, but airlines might only put a select number of "premium" fares on sale and you will need to act quickly if you find them.

You should be able to find round-trip fares for less than $50 for some cities and airlines.

WOW Air

You can fly from the U.S. to Europe for $99 one-way! When you book a round-trip flight from Boston, Pittsburgh, or Chicago on WOW Air, your flight to London, Dublin, Amsterdam, or Brussels will only cost $99.99 plus taxes and fees. If you fly from Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Miami, you will only pay $129.99 each way.

Do hurry as there are a limited number of seats available for each route at this price. On a positive note, you can travel through May 2018 to secure the low price, but you must book over Thanksgiving weekend.

Southwest Airlines

America's favorite discount airline is offering some additional discounts this Thanksgiving. Check out the Southwest Vacations Cyber Week Sale to find special Black Friday and Cyber Monday daily deals and discount codes.

Through December 4, 2017, you can also get up to $250 off a flight and hotel package. All you have to do is travel before August 6, 2018, to enjoy the additional savings.

United Airlines

United hasn't hinted at any of their special Black Friday deals (yet), but their current specials expire on November 23rd. Make sure you look at United's Special Flight Offers page on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday to see what they have to offer.
