It's here! The 2012 Olympic Games are just on the brink of their London kickoff.

With the Olympic torch reaching the final stretch of its 70-day, 8,000-mile journey toward the Friday cauldron lighting, people around the world are getting ready to take in all the action. (Not to mention, to watch the Spice Girls get back in the spotlight.)

But just because the television will be abuzz with hours upon hours of coverage from practically every angle of the action doesn't mean Chicagoans need to stayed glued to their couches for the next few weeks. A number of area bars and restaurants are holding viewing parties and offering up Olympic-themed specials in honor of the games, which are set to include a number of local athletes going for the gold.

We rounded up a number of local Olympic-viewing options. Not a fan of watching anything remotely athletic but still want to get in the spirit of it all? We also have you covered there.
