While gorgeous models in incredible designs dance down the runway during Fashion month, President Donald Trump continues his fight to ban immigrants from certain countries and his Twitter tirades against those he feels have wronged him and his family.

The folks at industry news site Business of Fashion decided to rally against the current political climate by launching the #tiedtogether movement for Fashion Month. BoF’s founder and Editor-in-Chief, Imran Amed, explained the site’s resistance in a statement:

In light of the current uncertainties and turmoil around the world, The Business of Fashion invites the fashion industry to stand together and make a clear statement of solidarity, unity and inclusiveness. This is not a political statement, it is a positive statement in support of humanity during a time of turmoil and fear in many nations around the world. We aim to start a global movement within the fashion industry to demonstrate the power of unity and inclusivity, and encourage fashion enthusiasts and people outside the industry to join.

Those who join the #tiedtogether movement are showing their support by wearing white bandanas. Designers Prabal Gurung, Tommy Hilfiger, Thakoon, Phillip Lim, and Diane von Furstenberg will be wearing the bandanas during Fashion Week.

Wear a white bandana as a sign to the world that you believe in the common bonds of humankind — regardless of race, sexuality, gender or religion,” Amed wrote on his site.

Hilfiger put white bandanas all of the models at his TommyLand show on Wednesday.
