White House Pink Ribbon Installed For Breast Cancer Awareness

Nearly 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and the White House is showing its support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by installing a large pink ribbon between its front columns.

Michelle Obama has spoken frequently throughout October about breast cancer research, often tying the discussion to the administration's health care battle.

Mrs. Obama highlighted that under the president's proposed plan, insurers would be required to cover mammograms and other preventative measures.
