Whitney Port's megawatt smile makes her the perfect candidate to be spokesperson for Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips. We caught up with the perpetually sunny Whitney Eve designer and former star of "The Hills" and "The City" at yesterday's "2 Hours to Sparkling Smiles and Holiday Styles" bash to discuss her beauty routine, makeup regrets and West Coast versus East Coast style.

What are your beauty secrets?
I try to get as much sleep as possible, moisturize as much as possible and always wash my face before I go to sleep. It's a non-issue. And if I'm too lazy, I'll use makeup-remover pads.

What's your signature scent?
Trish McEvoy No. 3.

What beauty product is always in your purse?
When I go out, it has to be some sort of lip product. I found something called Lucas Papaw Ointment in Australia that I can use for anything--my lips, under my eyes, my hands. I also use the Fresh Sugar Honey lip treatment

What's your favorite drugstore beauty buy?
There's a Cover Girl smudgy eyeliner that has a different color on each side. I'll use the dark brown on top and the creamy opalescent shade on the inside.

Do you have any beauty regrets?
One time on the red carpet, I just put too much white powder on. When I was in high school, I used to put on so much makeup, because I didn’t have the best skin. And then I’d do the black eyeliner underneath. Now, I think less is more.

Do you ever have the urge to ditch your signature blonde locks and try an outrageous hue?
I've done brown, I've put in pink highlights and I've done strawberry blonde. I'm sure I'll try something new again--I get bored really easily. Sometimes, I think about just bleaching it all, but then I'd be ruining my hair.

What nail shade have you been rocking lately?
Fifth Avenue by Essie is my go-to color.

Who's your beauty icon?
I love Alexa Chung. And Jennifer Lopez; her skin is always glowing, and her eyes pop. Whoever is doing her makeup is doing a great job.

Do you have a different beauty routine when you're in New York versus LA?
The beauty in LA is much more beachy, obviously, but it depends where you are in LA. If you go to Beverly Hills, you'll see the plastic surgery craziness-- over-the-top people with really blond hair. I live in Venice Beach now, and it's really natural beauty. Here, I think people are a little more sophisticated, look like they spend more time and are just more fashionable and trendy.

What's next for Whitney Eve?
I'm already working on fall of next year. My new website just launched. My spring line will be out in February. And, I made a more affordable division of my line called WE by Whitney Eve, and that will be out this spring.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
When I travel, sometimes I feel like a street blogger. I'll take pictures of people all over who are wearing cool things.

Any plans to follow in Lauren Conrad's footsteps and pen a young-adult novel?
I highly doubt it. I wrote a style guide and would love to do another one, but not a novel.
