Whoopi Goldberg Reveals Phone Sex Operator Past (VIDEO)

On Thursday's "The View," Whoopi Goldberg revealed that she once worked as a phone sex operator.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck did a segment for "Good Morning America" about the growing number of stay-at-home moms earning extra income as phone sex operators. The mothers cited the pay and being able to spend time with their kids as the main benefits of the job.

When the conversation turned to whether the job should be off-limits for moms, Sherri Shepherd said that she wouldn't let her son go over to the house of a friend whose mother was a phone sex operator. That's when Whoopi said, "I was a phone sex operator, too."

Sherri retorted that that was in Whoopi's past. Whoopi joked, "How do you know? You don't know what I do at home!"

"When I was younger, the money was great," she recalled, "See now, people would know my voice." The co-hosts joked that someone was probably watching the show and realizing that that it was Whoopi Goldberg on the phone all those years ago. Watch the segment in the clip above.
