Why Can't Northwestern Sell Tickets?

Why Can't Northwestern Sell Tickets?

On paper, it's a marketer's dream. Even Don King would salivate over this matchup:

An undefeated, eternally overlooked team hosting the Big Ten's top hope for the Heisman Trophy on a warm, sunny Chicago afternoon.

But if you make it to Ryan Field on Saturday to watch Michigan State and Javon Ringer take on Northwestern, you likely will hear these words: Who needs two?

Northwestern officials expect to draw a crowd of about 30,000, which would leave more than 17,000 empty seats at the recently renovated gem.

And 30,000 would be a nice boost from previous games this season -- 20,015 for Syracuse, 19,062 in a monsoon against Southern Illinois, 22,069 for Ohio.
