There are hundreds, no thousands, of vehicles that are out there for people to buy. It’s amazing that there are so many choices, it can be difficult for a prospective buyer to narrow down the type of car they want to drive. But let’s face it, some cars may be a better value for the money but others are just impractical or simply unattractive. There are plenty of vehicles out there that make me stop & ask myself, “Why would anybody want to buy that?” Here are some examples of cars that make me think that:

· Any car that is lime green or hot pink - Owning a car this bright may be hip when you’re in high school but after the age of 21 owning a neon-colored vehicle isn’t so hot. Who wants to be recognized 20 miles away just because of the color of their car? I’d much rather be recognized from a distance because my car looks nice not because it looks like it came out of a pack of highlighters.

· Any “mini” car - I don’t understand the purpose of these cars. Obviously anyone who wants to drive this car want to own a compact vehicle but no trunk & no backseat? Or what about those 4-door mini cars that are so tiny that you can’t fit anything in the backseat at all? That’s like me ordering an extra-large low-fat milkshake. I want fewer calories but I’m getting it in a larger size – kind of defeats the purpose, right? If you have a four door vehicle it’s just not that mini, folks.

· The Smart car - How are you not worried about accidents in this car? I mean it’s great on fuel & perfect for fitting in those tight parking spaces, but it has zero storage space and has underwhelming horsepower. You could never drive this car in a hurricane zone or in a rainy/windy area – you’d get swept away! Heaven forbid you are involved in a car wreck, you’d be smashed into smithereens. I would never let my child drive this car or anyone I loved for that matter; I’d be too afraid that their car would be run of the highway by a gust of wind. Lol! Not to mention you can’t have any friends ride with you, at least not comfortably anyway.

· Minivans - Minivans just aren’t “cool”. These automobiles may have lots of features (for both the driver & passengers) and have decent gas mileage but the designs aren’t sexy. Since minivans were introduced into the marketplace, lots of families have purchased them but only the “soccer moms” & middle-aged dads drive them. Teenagers (unless they are borrowing the car from mom & dad), young people and single individuals, which is a huge segment of the population, just don’t buy minivans. They don’t offer much value for people who don’t have tons of cargo to transport.

If you own any of these vehicles, what motivated your purchase decision? Please share in the comments section below -
