I can't even explain every reason I love music, but I know that I definitely have a strong love for music no matter what the reasons are.

I have recently done research on the question: What does MUSIC mean to you? Before my research, music was just a way to express the feelings I have no guts or courage to say about out loud.

These are some responses to the question:
"MUSIC for me is an art, it produce beauty of forms, harmony and expression of emotion."
-- Jazzy H.

"Music is different to a lot of people. For me, it's a way of venting negative emotions and calming myself down..."
-- Anonymous

"Music helps me escape from the reality I live in."
-- Jacob T.

A lot of people know the quote: "Music is my life; lyrics are my story."

Well, I have a few more:

"Anyone who has a desire to SING, always finds a SONG."
-- Anonymous

"I think music in itself is healing.
It's an explosive expression of humanity.
It's something we are all touched by.
No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music"
-- Billy Joel

"Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand."
-- Anonymous

Even though I'm the president of concert choir at my school, I didn't quite know the exact reason why I liked music so much or what it meant to me. After my research, my point of view changed. Yes, I do like music because of the beat, lyrics, feeling and the meaning behind it, but it became more than that.

I realize that I love music and I have for as long as I can remember. On those days after 4th grade when I used to listen to my first Demi Lovato album, I loved music. When I was learning how to play the piano in 8th grade, I loved music. Having me walk around singing or listening to music on my iPod was inevitable. I love music.

Right now you might be asking yourself why I love music so much. Well, first it puts me in a better mood. Second, I have a talent in creating music and singing. Third, harmony is beautiful. Fourth, I understand music theory more than any other subject. Fifth, music helps me relate to other people and their situations. Sixth, I have a great passion to major in music in my life. Also to be able to make music to help people feel what I feel in music is my goal in life. And last, but certainly not least: I LOVE MUSIC!

Music has a voice and it speaks to people in many different ways. It teaches and saves lives. Studies show that music is able to reduce stress and calm people down. Music also adds to happy occasions. This music does just have to be with lyrics -- it can be any kind such as piano, guitar, bass, a jazz band or whatever u like best! Without music life would be missing an important voice. One that is always there when we need and will never go away. One voice that listens.

I can't even explain every reason I love music, but I know that I definitely have a strong love for music no matter what the reasons are.

So go back to my first question: What does MUSIC mean to you? Really ponder about it and maybe you will develop a whole new, intense, unbelievable view like I did.
