Will and Kate are pregnant! It's unclear whether the forthcoming progeny is a boy or a girl, but either way, it will need a name! In keeping with royal naming traditions (William and Harold, for example, are both names of former rulers), Baby Windsor will likely be christened after some esteemed English monarch--but which one? Definitely not the following:

  • Æthelstan
  • Eadwig
  • Sweyn Forkbeard
  • Cnut
  • Harthacnut
  • Edmund Ironside
  • Eadrerd

On the other hand, Sweyn Forkbeard Middleton-Windsor is not terrible.
