Will Arnett Cast In NBC Pilot With Christina Applegate

Will Arnett Gets Big Starring Role

George Oscar Bluth rides again.

"Arrested Development" star Will Arnett has been cast in a new Lorne Michaels-produced comedy pilot for NBC, joining the yet-to-be titled show as Christina Applegate's husband.

Arnett, who headlined the short lived FOX sitcom "Running Wilde" last year, is becoming something of an NBC comedy mainstay. He's had a recurring role in "30 Rock" since the first season as Jack Donaghy's gay rival, Devin Banks; he returned to the show last Thursday, funnily enough, as a stay-at-home dad. Arnett has also made a guest appearance on wife Amy Poehler's show, "Parks and Recreation," and is guest starring in the upcoming season finale of "The Office."

Speculation had placed Arnett as perhaps Steve Carell's replacement as the boss on "The Office," but with this new role, that's clearly unlikely. Then, of course, is the constantly speculated upon "Arrested Development" movie.
