So many activities!

That's what we'd like to think Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were saying while in negotiations to reteam for a new comedy. And now those activities are official, five years after the actors linked funny bones for "Step Brothers." The actors have signed on for "Devil's Night," a movie about two childhood best friends, Leonard and Gabe, who bonded over their love for Oct. 30, when pre-Halloween mischief runs rampant.

Naturally, Devil's Night tore Leonard and Gabe apart. Fifteen years later, their neighborhood's love for the annual night of vandalism has gotten out of control, and the duo must reunite to protect it from total wreckage.

The news of the upcoming movie comes from TheWrap, which reports that Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul ("Yes Man") are writing the script. Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions -- the studio responsible for "Step Brothers," "Funny or Die Presents" and the forthcoming "Anchorman" sequel -- will produce the project.

"Step Brothers" received lukewarm reviews in 2008 but became a modest box office hit, grossing $100 million domestically. There was talk of a sequel, but so far nothing has manifested. McKay revealed last year that plans for "Step Brothers 2" were tabled in favor of work on "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."

No target release date for "Devil's Night" has been announced, but December's Anchorman" sequel should aid in tiding over anticipation, as Reilly is expected to make a cameo in the sequel.
