Will Ferrell Leads USC Marching Band In Full Trojan Armor (VIDEO)

WATCH: Will Ferrell Leads USC Marching Band, Because He Can!

It's often stated in Mel Brooks' 1981 film "History of the World: Part 1" that "it's good to be the king." While that may be true, based on this video posted by Gilster85, it looks like it's a whole lot better to be Will Ferrell.

University of Southern California alum Ferrell visited his alma mater, along with fellow alumnus and friend, Craig Pollard, on Monday to give a talk with students about "careers, friendship, and life philosophies." Ferrell is a supporter and celebrity spokesman for Pollard's charity, Cancer for College.

However, that didn't mean he couldn't take some time out to have a bit fun, too. Donning a set of full Trojan Armor, Ferrell led the USC marching band, The Spirit of Troy, in a rather unconventional rally captured on camera. Why? Most likely because he can. Either way, it seriously looks like it's great to be Will Ferrell!

UPDATE: David Belasco tweeted to let us know that there is an official video of the performance to benefit Cancer for College, which we are now including below.
