William Kise Crashes Into House, Asks Owners: 'You Want Some Pizza?'

After Crashing Car Into House, He Asked Owners, 'You Want Some Pizza?'

When you drop in on someone, it's nice to bring a gift, but while William Kise's heart may have been in the right place, his timing was off -- way off.

Kise, 41, reportedly crashed his Mustang into an Indianapolis home Thursday night, and had one question for the homeowner: "You want some pizza?"

He wasn't lying. Officers found a pizza box and a bottle of hot sauce in the back of his car after the accident, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Police says that Kise admitted to drinking five beers at a friend's house while waiting for the pizza. Then, he got in the car, still eating a slice.

His foot became stuck on the accelerator and he was unable to use the brake, which caused him to crash into the home, according to WISH-TV.

The married couple and their four children were not injured in the crash, but Battalion Chief Phillip Reuter estimated the damage at $30,000. The crash caused enough structural damage that the family must find another place to stay temporarily, the station said.

Officers on the scene said Kise had Tabasco sauce all over his pants and an alcohol odor on his breath. He also had slurred speech and red eyes, WXIN-TV reported. He consented to a breathalyzer test and blew a .077.

Kise was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and reckless driving, WBIW-TV reported.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story stated the people in the home hit by the car were injured. They were not.
