Marijuana connoisseur Willie Nelson told Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show” Wednesday that he’d want to smoke weed with President Donald Trump.

The country star remained defiant this week against conservative fan backlash for his planned fundraising concert to support Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke against Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in November’s election. So Nelson probably isn’t Trump’s kind of guy.

But he insisted Trump needs to get high.
