10 Reasons To Reconsider Toggle Coats This Winter

Last February, I attended Paris Fashion Week and got a lesson in coat couture. Not only did I see amazing designs come down the runway, I also saw French women around town with enviable style. I noticed the young ladies wearing toggle coats, a topper I hadn't thought about since I was a kid. The wooden hook-and-botton detail was cute, but it also did a better job than most coats of showing off your shape (rather than masking it in a shapeless morass of wool). The style also has a touch of that military trend that we are seeing everywhere.

When it comes to cold-weather wear, jackets, scarves, hats and mittens are important, but it's the coats that really take center stage in the winter months. That said, there's no need to spend an arm and a leg on coats either. We've rounded up the cutest toggle coats for under $100.
