Winter Olympics Bobsledding: 'Earth Sucking You Into Its Core' (VIDEO)

U.S. bobsledders have been in the news lately. A third American sled qualified for the men's four-man competition at the upcoming Winter Olympics, while another bobsledder said he has asked about serving the National Guard in Afghanistan. And the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation revealed that the U.S. secured 11 spots on its Olympics roster.

But what is it like to ride in a bobsled? Time's Sean Gregory found out and captured some fascinating footage in the process. According to Gregory, "the earth feels like it's sucking you into its core" and "on the final curve, just when you think your body can't handle any more pressure, the sled goes faster."
