Tiffany Pocock Spits Blood On Cop, Bangs Heads On Window After Arrest

Woman Charged With Assault For Spitting Blood On Cop

One 27-year-old from Ohio may soon learn that spitting blood on a cop wins you no friends in the criminal justice system.

At 1:45 a.m. last Friday, Tiffany Pocock was taken into custody after cops were called to a home in Bellevue, Ohio, after receiving reports of domestic violence. According to the police report, Shawn Pocock claimed that the defendant arrived at his house uninvited, demanding "quickie" sex. When he refused, an argument ensued and Tiffany Pocock allegedly hit him in the left eye, leaving a bruise.

Police found Pocock hiding near a swing set in the backyard of the residence. The cops also found a half-empty bottle of Black Velvet whiskey in the defendant's car console.

Pocock was informed that she was under arrest for operating a vehicle while impaired, and she was handcuffed and detained in a police vehicle. Pocock then "began to strike the glass...extremely hard with her head." The cops claim that Pocock was concerned about her ability to get to a doctor's appointment the next morning. According to Officer Tyi McCarley, Pocock was "bleeding badly from her forehead and mouth," and officers on the scene made the decision to transport her to Bellevue Hospital.

Upon arrival at the medical facility, Pocock resisted exiting the police vehicle, prompting the three officers involved in the case to pull her out of the car by her legs. As cops and E.R. nurses transported Pocock to a hospital room, Pocock spat blood at both Officer McCarley and Nurse Kimberly Cooper. Pocock was ultimately strapped down in a hospital bed and treated for her injuries.

Pocock was arraigned Friday on charges of operating a vehicle while impaired, driving with a suspended license, and two counts of assault.
