Women First

Women to Women by Julia was born of faith. A faith instilled by my mother years ago. It is this faith, and the journey of my soul, that has produced this organization, my life's purpose. Women to Women by Julia is the single most important undertaking that I have ever assumed.

While Women to Women by Julia encompasses a number of areas, no one area has quite captivated me from a young age as much as health. Health is an area that we cannot overlook. Without it, we literally have nothing. I have spent a good part of my life heavily invested in this area. Health is what makes living possible. I know that how I feel is unequivocally associated to what I do, where I go, how I actively or inactively participate in life every day. • The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations does not address the question of sex in clinical trials; there is no formal requirement that women make up a significant portion of a trial's patient population or even participate at all. Drugs can affect men and women differently.
• Women are twice as likely to develop depression, especially during transitions, starting at puberty and long after menopause.
• Stress causes digestive, fertility and urinary tract problems, more viral infections, colds, anxiety, sleep disorders, organ inflammation and depression in women
• 80% of all autoimmune disorder patients reported uncommon emotional stress before the disease onset. Women have 75% of all diagnosed autoimmune disease disorders.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) rates are twice as high in women as men.

The organization's goal is to supply women with the tools necessary to create and support a more healthful life. Through resources, education and programs our goal is to cultivate change and unearth a symbiotic collaboration and healthy union of the body, mind and spirit.

Health is the foundation of a fulfilled woman. A healthy body, a healthy mind, good nutrition and even empowering thoughts are choices we as women make every. It's time we start investing heavily in this area of our life.
