Work addiction so consumed the life of social worker Vasavi Kumar that her job starting taking precedence over her new marriage.

Kumar told HuffPost Live's Nancy Redd about the moment she realized her obsession with work had gone too far.

"To be really honest, when my husband and I were first married three years ago, I worked so much that we didn't have sex for a month," she admitted.

Finally it hit Kumar that their lack of sex "not normal" for newlyweds who were in love and attracted to each other. She said she immediately decided to change her habits and began leaving her phone on airplane mode in the kitchen overnight to stop herself from checking it every time she heard the "ding" of a new message.

"I had to choose which ding-dong do I want," Kumar said. "It's been better. Now we have dates, and whenever we go out, we always leave our phones in the car."
