World's Biggest Burger: Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar Goes For Guinness World Record (VIDEO)

WATCH Restaurant Cooks Up World's Biggest Burger

Anyone with a massive appetite, $2,000, and a death wish can order up an "Absolutely Ridiculous Burger" from Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar.

But, as the Detroit News reports, that burger, which weighs 319 pounds, isn't quite as gargantuan as the one the restaurant cooked up on Thursday.

The 338 pound beast of a burger is expected break the Guinness World Record for largest burger, once it gets certified.

CNN reports that the burger loses about 100 pounds of grease when it's cooked down. The sandwich also has 15 pounds of lettuce, 30 pounds of bacon, 30 pounds of tomatoes and 36 pounds of cheese. It takes 22 hours to cook, according to the Detroit News.

This week featured several other Guinness World Record attempts.

Three world records were set at the Toronto Marathon on Sunday, including Fastest Half Marathon by a Mascot (Male), Fastest Marathon in a Superhero Costume (Male) and Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Bottle.

The Indo-Asian News Service reported on Friday that Singer Asha Bhosle entered the record book for the most single studio recordings. She has recorded up to 11,000 solos, duets and chorus-backed songs since 1947, according to the News Service.
