After three hip replacement surgeries and one rod in her leg, 97-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch is still going strong as the world's oldest living yoga teacher. The nonagenarian yogini recently released her memoir, "Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master," and in it she shares her many unique life experiences as well as her advice for living a long life.

Here are some of Porchon-Lynch's tips she shared with the New York Post.

It's OK to enjoy an occasional glass of wine. Porchon-Lynch is said to prefer shiraz and malbec, but she says her one rule is to never drink alone. In a 2013 interview, she told Huff/Post 50 she prefers to have a glass of wine with her meals.

In a study published earlier this year, resveratrol, a compound found in red wines, was seen to mimic exercise-like benefits on your health. But remember, moderation is key.

Watch your portion size. Many experts will tell you that restrictive diets and not allowing yourself a treat don't work in the long-term. Porchon-Lynch, it seems, also takes this advice. Her key is watching her portion sizes. The early-riser starts her day with a light breakfast of fruit and fruit juice and often shares her lunch. She told the New York Post that overeating happens when we shovel too much food on our plates. "Most people overeat and put too much food on their plate,” Lynch said. “Pause a moment to think about how many people are without food, and you won’t eat so much.”

Stay active and stay positive. Porchon-Lynch discovered yoga as a young girl and has been practicing it and teaching it for decades. But she also has ventured out and tried new things -- like ballroom dancing, which she took up at age 87. She says she's won over 700 dancing competitions and was even on "America's Got Talent." “I’ve been active all my life. I spend no time thinking what I can’t do...When you wake up in the morning, know that it’s going to be the best day of your life," she said.

We're inspired.
