Undertaker’s matches at WWE’s grandest annual event have long been considered a special attraction, a highlight of 2 elite level superstars squaring off.

Often times, Taker has gone head-to-head with Hall of Famer such as Ric Flair, Edge and Shawn Michaels among others. Undertaker has battled future Hall of Famers such as Triple H, Brock Lesnar and CM Punk and has even been pitted against rising stars such as Bray Wyatt.

Reigns, who has been the subject of fans’ ire due to WWE’s insistence, despite fans rejection, is the man slotted to face ‘The Phenom’ this year.

But if that news doesn’t upset fans enough, this surely will.

According to a source with knowledge of WWE’s creative thinking, WWE is “considering” booking Roman Reigns to beat the Undertaker, at WrestleMania.

Yes, Reigns is being considered to go over the Undertaker. Only one other man has been given that honor; Brock Lesnar.

WWE is hell bent on getting Reigns over, established and is determined to make him one of the main pillars of the company for years to come.

For those of you thinking that Reigns going over the Undertaker must mean that Reigns will turn heel, I was told that is not being discussed, at this time, as part of the scenario.

Naturally, WWE can and likely will change course several times before WrestleMania, but they are factoring in the need to establish a younger star such as Reigns as well as the closing of Undertaker’s in-ring career and see this as the time to put over a young star in a big way.
