
Xcel Energy Inc. ― Colorado's largest power utility ― paid its chief executive, Richard Kelly, more than twice as much in 2009 as in 2008.
According to a proxy filed Tuesday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission by Minneapolis-based Xcel (NYSE: XEL), Kelly pocketed $11.3 million in total compensation for 2009, compared to $5.1 million in 2008 and $9.2 million in 2007.
