Video: Police Raid Home Of Detroit Rapper Who May Have Encouraged Dog, Cock Fighting

DETROIT-- WXYZ reports that police are now at a home shown in a video from Young Calicoe, the Detroit rapper whom may have encouraged dog fighting and cock fighting.

Detroit Police Department officers are shown releasing dogs from cages located in the yard of the home, with the help of representatives from the Michigan Humane Society. WXYZ says the dogs are being taken from the premises.

The video of Young Calicoe, which went viral on Monday, showed men referring to dog fighting and cock fighting. The video also included images of canines and roosters caged in a backyard.

The Brightmoor hip-hop artist said he had no involvement with dog fighting on Twitter. "If u find a video of me "FIGHTING DOGS" PLEEEEZE LET ME KNO," he Tweeted.

According to the Humane Society, involvement in dog fighting in the state of Michigan can result in fines and up to five years in prison.

The viral video of the rapper, shown below, is NSFW due to language and images of caged animals.

The Huffington Post reached out to Young Calicoe's manager on Monday afternoon to confirm the story. A representative acknowledged the query but has not yet responded.
