As a human living in a time when you have the great power of technology at your fingertips, access to on demand education, connectivity to maintain connections which could never have survived previously, the ability to travel freely around the world for a very small investment... the list goes on.

We have access to more in life than any other human has had in history and it's worth being grateful for it all.

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart." -- Steve Jobs

These great words of Steve Jobs have been heard by millions and they remind us we're only human... we're all fighting similar battles and are heading for the same destination. We truly have nothing to lose.

Why then do so many choose to live dormant lives... why do so many people choose not to find & live their purpose?

I believe these are the best ways to wake up.

Stop using this excuse.
You have the same amount of time in your day as every other human in the world, that should never be an excuse for not being able to do something.

You must believe.
You must fully believe with all of your heart that you are here a reason, your voice has power and you can achieve anything you focus on. What you focus on becomes your reality, but you must fully believe.

You have biological needs.
You must understand that as a human, you have biological needs. Safety is one of them and being comfortable can often seem like the "safest option." Comfort could become your worst enemy -- you must be willing to embrace uncertainty and fear whilst understanding your natural biological objections to these.

Proximity is power.
Perhaps it's time to remove the toxic relationships in your life? You must surround yourself with people who energize you, people who fuel your passion and people who will aid your missions. Proximity is power -- start networking with people on the same path, with the same mission or passion. The people you spend your time with dominate your thoughts, feelings and either inspire you or hold you back -- be bold, remove the weeds from your life.

Make use of this tool.
We all have access to a diary or calendar, start using it. The day I started using mine was a day things started to move in the right direction. Without a deadline, it's difficult to score.

Right now you could learn a new language, learn to play an instrument, register to volunteer 2000 miles away, start a business or go travelling around the world. You're a human, you could literally do anything... if it consumes you enough.

Live your passion, never stop learning and power through the waves of life.

You're only human, what have you got to lose?
