Zachary Ramirez, Naperville Man, Says He Was Driving 111 MPH In 45 Zone To Go Have Sex

Man Tells Cops He Was Speeding For Sex

A suburban Chicago man caught driving 111 mph -- nearly 70 mph over the speed limit he was passing through -- offered up an unusual explanation for police questioning why he had the need for speed.

Zachary Ramirez, 21, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive in Naperville, Ill., explained to police when he was pulled over early Sunday that he was in a hurry to "try to go have sex with a girl he liked," the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Police first noticed Ramirez's bizarre driving when he blew through a stop light at Plainfield-Naperville Road and 75th Street just after 2 a.m., the Daily Herald reports. Police radioed ahead about the car and another officer subsequently saw Ramirez drive through a stop sign at River and Oswego Street.

When that officer pulled Ramirez over, the officer found 0.2 grams of marijuana during a search of his vehicle, according to the Sun-Times.

Ramirez is free on $200 bond after being charged with reckless driving, possession of 2.5 grams or less of marijuana and disobeying both a stop sign and traffic light -- all misdemeanors.
