Zombie Drew Barrymore Bites Off More Than She Can Chew In 'Santa Clarita Diet' Trailer

Maybe “The Walking Dead” has become a bit too emotionally exploitative and “iZombie” just doesn’t do it for you. (WHY NOT?!) If that’s the case, Netflix’s “Santa Clarita Diet” might be the zombie show you’ve been waiting for.

On Tuesday, the trailer for the original comedy series starring Drew Barrymore arrived in all its bloody glory ahead of the series’ Feb. 3 premiere ― and it looks like Netflix has another hit on its hands.

Reconnecting with her horror roots, Barrymore stars as happily married realtor Sheila who wakes up one day as a zombie. With a husband (Timothy Olyphant) and a daughter at home, Sheila has to adjust to her new life and new diet ― *cough* of human flesh *cough* ― without causing too much chaos.

But things aren’t as simple as they seem when you’re undead. And, try as the family does to act normal, they can’t escape the fact that all zombie shows end with blood and guts.
