'Zuckerberg: The Musical' Released By CDZA On Eve Of Facebook's IPO (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Rise Of Mark Zuckerberg, In Song

The date of Facebook's IPO is nearly upon us, and the Internet is abuzz with every step of the process. Amid talk of increased share price ranges, soaring valuations and tech bubbles, another interesting headline began making the rounds yesterday: "Zuckerberg: The Musical."

Thanks to CDZA, short for Collective Cadenza, we now have a 12-scene musical that sums up Zuckerberg's rise to fame and covers everything from his college days at Harvard to the amount of money he stands to make from Facebook's IPO.

The scenes are brief and borrow tunes from the likes of "Rent" and "Sweeny Todd," adding their own Facebook flair, of course. The near four-minute Youtube video is shot in one continuous stream, featuring three Broadway singers dressed in black, accompanied by a tuxedo-wearing pianist.

The group describes the arrival of Facebook -- "this is the dawning of the page that you share with us" -- and covers all the Facebook worries from finding your mother's profile, to being stalked on timeline by your employers.

As the singers document the rise of Zuckerberg, one scene at a time, they place Facebook status updates, posts and clips created to look like the social networking site on a giant Facebook profile page.

CDZA, a group of 20-something New York-based artists, teamed up with Youtube earlier this month to launch a channel of the same name to showcase their videos. "Zuckerberg: The Musical" is the group's first opus. Founded by three friends, the collaboration produced its first video, "History of Lyrics That Aren't Lyrics," in September and followed it up with the "History of Whistling" this month.

"Based on the success of the video, it spawned the creation of a whole brand and channel dedicated to doing more of these," CDZA co-founder Joe Sabia recently told Boing Boing. "Essentially, the vision of putting Juilliard-trained, virtuoso, NYC-based, early 20-something musicians into one-take, medley driven musical experiments."

The group promises to release new videos every other Tuesday, with the next, "Pianists in Paris," to be released on May 29. If their Zuckerberg piece is any indication, we'll likely see more shorts from CDZA that revolve around current events.
